THE FRED M. HAKENJOS SHOTGUN SHOOTING CENTER

Fred M. Hakenjos chaired the site selection committee that wrote the criteria, visited many possible sites, talked with many people, and selected this property near Raton, New Mexico for the future home of the NRA Whittington center.

Fred served as the first Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the special contribution fund, which was charged with the development of the Whittington Center.

This Shotgun Shooting Center is named for and dedicated to Fred for the dedication, talent, and integrity, that he brought to the creation of the finest shooting facility in the world.
