New for the Founders Retreat complex are the recently remodeled Brownell Family Suites. The Brownell Suites feature first class accommodations with a full kitchen, queen size bed, seating area with satellite television and fireplace, and bathroom all in a private suite. Unlike the other Founders Retreat cabins, the Brownell Suites are fully furnished with cooking and eating utensils, and towels. Upon request, daily housekeeping services are available. Free Wi-Fi.

How do I make reservations?
Reservations for any of the accommodations located at the Whittington Center are accepted by phone only when credit cards are used. Reservations are accepted based on availability at the time the reservation is made. Refunds on deposits will be granted when cancellation notice is received by the Whittington Center 48 hours prior to the date of the reservation.

How do I make group reservations?
Any person reserving 4 or more rooms will be charged 50% of the total stay for all rooms at the time the reservation is made. The person reserving these rooms will need to contact the NRA Whittington Center 10 days prior to the scheduled arrival date providing us with names to be assigned to these rooms. If the requested information is not provided, the unassigned rooms will be made available to the guests on our waiting list.
What are the Check-in and Check-out times?
Individuals using any accommodations must check in at the front gate where room and space assignments will be made. Check in time is no earlier than 2 PM and check out time is no later than 10 AM. You must check in and out on the dates you have specified. If you have not checked out prior to 10 AM you will be charged an additional fee.
When checking out please bring your room keys. There is a $10.00 fee for any and all lost keys.
What is included? Do I need to bring anything?
All housing is supplied with sheets and blankets for bedding. Occupants must bring their own towels, soap and washcloth, as toiletries are not supplied.
What is the Pet policy?
The NRA Whittington Center will not allow pets in our Founder's Cabins, Competitor Housing and Log Cabins due to health, cleanliness and damage concerns. Pets are allowed in the R.V. and Primitive Campgrounds. If you plan on including your dog please download and sign our "Pet Policy" and "Guest Pet" agreements.
What is the smoking policy?
Pursuant to New Mexico State Statute, the "Dee Johnson Clean Indoor Air Act” states that smoking is not permitted in public places and places of employment. All guest rooms and buildings are 100% non-smoking at the Whittington Center. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged to any guest who violates the Smoking Policy.
Are there any restrictions?
All housing units, cabins and classrooms on the Whittington Center are designated non-smoking areas. BBQ grills are also prohibited inside any of these buildings as well as on the porches of the housing units. Please check with our Gate staff at the time of your stay for the most up-to-date information on any fire ban that might be currently in place.
Additional information about RV and tent camping?
All RV and Primitive campsites are assigned at the time your reservations are made and must not be changed without prior approval of the Front Gate. This is to avoid conflict with other reservations. Primitive campsites are limited to tents and small pop-up tent trailers only.
What is the cancellation policy?
A 48 hour cancellation notice prior to the start of your reservation is required to change/cancel your reservation. Failure to give this notice will result in the NRA Whittington Center charging the full amount due to your Credit Card.
