NRA Whittington Center
The Women's Wilderness Escape is an introduction to the proper and safe use of firearms. As a women only event, you can rest assured that you will learn in a friendly non-threatening environment with women just like you. By the end of the week, you will have experience shooting and a working knowledge of over nine different types of firearms. No experience necessary!
Whether you are new to firearms or an experienced shooter, your experience and knowledge will grow to new levels as you nurture your curiosity and refine your skills under the helpful coaching and guidance of our expert instructors. During this event, participants are divided into groups and attend different activities while you have the safe opportunity to handle and shoot many different types of firearms.

Come stay with us! The general public is welcome to stay at the Whittington Center. There is a broad range of housing to accommodate individuals, couples, and small to large groups.
Shooters can take part in competitive shooting, rifle and pistol silhouette, bullseye disciplines, and even black powder muzzle-loading rifles.
