Red, Blue, Green Sporting Clays
The 2026 New Mexico State Sporting Clays Championship is the state’s flagship sporting clays competition, taking place August 19–23, 2026 at the world-class NRA Whittington Center in Raton, New Mexico. Designed for shooters of all skill levels, this NSCA-registered state shoot features multiple courses laid out across the Center’s Red, Blue, and Green Sporting Clays fields, challenging competitors with diverse and dynamic target arrays that test skill, consistency, and strategy in a competitive environment.
Participants can expect:
Competitive classes for NSCA ratings, including Hunter, AA, A, B, and more
Multiple rounds and courses of fire spread over five days
Opportunities to earn state championship titles and awards
On-site amenities including lodging, camping, and tournament support

Come stay with us! The general public is welcome to stay at the Whittington Center. There is a broad range of housing to accommodate individuals, couples, and small to large groups.
Shooters can take part in competitive shooting, rifle and pistol silhouette, bullseye disciplines, and even black powder muzzle-loading rifles.
