Every year since the early 1990s, the NRA Whittington Center has proudly hosted the Annual Founder’s Weekend Celebration over Labor Day Weekend. A cherished tradition that honors the visionaries and lifelong supporters who helped shape this one-of-a-kind destination.
This special event invites our Patriot Members, Founder, Pioneer, Trailblazer, Prospector, and Annual Members to return to the Whittington Center for a weekend filled with fun, fellowship, and heartfelt appreciation. It’s our way of saying thank you to the individuals who believed in our mission from the very beginning — and who continue to help it grow.
Throughout the weekend, guests enjoy good food, fun shooting activities and games, live and silent auctions, evening entertainment, live music, great company, and unforgettable camaraderie, all while reuniting with old friends and making new ones. Whether you’re relaxing on the front porch of a cabin, touring the grounds, exploring the Frank Brownell Museum of the Southwest, or simply reflecting on how far we’ve come, it’s a time to celebrate our shared legacy.
The Annual Founder Appreciation Weekend is more than an event — it’s a living tribute to those who helped build this place from the ground up.
Built on vision. Fueled by legacy. And carried forward by all who believe in the mission.
