1,000 Yard range (High Power Rifle Range); Spring Canyon ELR
The King of 2 Miles Global Finals is the pinnacle of Extreme Long‑Range competitive rifle shooting, hosted each year at the famed NRA Whittington Center near Raton, New Mexico. This multi‑day international match challenges competitors to engage a series of steel targets at progressively greater distances, often stretching out beyond two miles (3,500+ yards). Teams — typically consisting of a shooter and a spotter — must demonstrate precision, strategy, wind reading, and equipment excellence to successfully hit targets under time constraints and variable environmental conditions.
Competitors qualify through preliminary stages and then compete in finals where only the top shooters remain. The competition is renowned for pushing both shooters and gear to their limits, showcasing the sport’s top ELR talents and cutting‑edge rifle platforms. Past events have seen elite shooters make hits at extreme ranges and earn the title of “King” while contributing to the evolving art and science of long‑range ballistics.
