The Muzzle Loaders Associations International Committee (MLAIC) invites shooters and enthusiasts from around the globe to the 14th MLAIC Muzzle Loading Long-Range World Championships, featuring both mid-range and long-range competitions.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the NRA Whittington Center, this prestigious event showcases the skill, precision, and tradition of historical muzzle-loading firearms—both original and faithful reproductions. Competitors will face challenging distances, from mid-range to extreme long-range targets, in adherence to MLAIC’s international competition rules.

This championship is not only a test of marksmanship but also a celebration of heritage, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. Shooters, spectators, and supporters are welcome to enjoy a week of competition, followed by the Awards Ceremony and Banquet on October 18.

Basic Gun Safety Rules

Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. Common sense will tell you which direction is the safest depending on your surroundings.
Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. When holding a gun, rest your trigger finger outside the trigger guard alongside the gun. This will often be the hardest part for kids to remember.
Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use. Demonstrate to your child how to check if a gun is loaded and where the safety mechanism is located.
