1000 Yard Range
The Spirit of America Fullbore National Championship is one of the flagship long-range rifle competitions at the NRA Whittington Center, offering a world-class fullbore rifle match experience on the renowned 1000-yard range. Organized in conjunction with the Bald Eagles Rifle Club, the match features disciplines in Target Rifle, F-Class (Open), and F-Class (T/R) with separate awards in each category. Competitors engage in a classified match using the current NRA International Fullbore Rifle Classification system across multiple distances and challenging fullbore courses of fire.
Open to all shooters, including international participants, the event encourages NRA USA membership (required for National Records eligibility) and draws competitive rifle marksmen from across the nation. With both individual and team competition opportunities and a range of age and skill categories, Spirit of America carries a long heritage as the U.S. national fullbore championship — a tradition that began in 2002 and has grown in prestige each year.

When it comes to the excitement of big-game hunting, you get it here at the NRA Whittington Center. Hunt success rates are nearly 100 percent!
Come stay with us! The general public is welcome to stay at the Whittington Center. There is a broad range of housing to accommodate individuals, couples, and small to large groups.
Shooters can take part in competitive shooting, rifle and pistol silhouette, bullseye disciplines, and even black powder muzzle-loading rifles.
