Defensive Training Area
DAY ONE
SATURDAY JULY 22nd (9am - 5pm)
FUNDAMENTALS OF ARMED HOME DEFENSE
This course is specifically designed to help participants develop a realistic plan for self defense inside the home or any interior space.
EVADE, BARRICADE, ARM, COMMUNICATE, and RESPOND are 5 Fundamentals that will be covered in depth
in addition to the difference between Storing vs. Staging firearms for Home Defense.
Participants will spend several hours developing defensive shooting skills. At the end of this course, there is a
Reality Based Live-Fire Simulation for a worst-case home invasion where students can apply all that is learned in the course.
Equipment needed: A reliable defensive handgun (Preferably a full-size or compact 9mm modern striker-fired handgun) with at least 2 - 3 magazines. Eye and Ear protection. Water, snacks or drinks to stay comfortable for the day.
300 rounds of ammunition. (Note: I will have several loaner handguns if needed).

DAY TWO
SUNDAY JULY 23rd (9am - 5pm)
FUNDAMENTALS OF INTUITIVE DEFENSIVE SHOOTING
This course is specifically designed for those carrying firearms in public spaces, workplaces or in vehicles.
This course works well with what the body does naturally during a worst-case life-threatening situation and is designed to help participants become more efficient from a concealed holster or open carry holster, to a Dynamic Critical Incident.
Participants will spend several hours developing defensive shooting skills on the first half of the course. The second half of the course is all about the application of skills through a series of remedial or evaluation drills. This course starts out slowly and ramps up quickly, depending on the student's apprehension.
Equipment needed: A sturdy belt and strong side outside the waistband holster and a reliable defensive handgun (Preferably a full-size or compact 9mm modern striker-fired handgun) with at least 2 - 3 magazines. Eye and Ear protection. Water, snacks or drinks to stay comfortable for the day. (Note: I will have several loaner handguns and some holsters if needed).
500 rounds of ammunition.
