Coal Canyon (From Raton NM, head west on NM-555 W/York Canyon Rd for 5.4 miles)
Precision/Tactical 2-Rifle
This event combines Action AR and Precision Rifle with some movement and different positions for an event that tests all your rifle skills from contact distance to 1000 yards or more.. Competitors can use all the equipment they can carry with both guns...tripods, bipods, bags, to make the different positions the best they can. Each day is about a 2 mile total walk in between stages. Each stage has you shooting both rifles in this point based competition.

Come stay with us! The general public is welcome to stay at the Whittington Center. There is a broad range of housing to accommodate individuals, couples, and small to large groups.
Shooters can take part in competitive shooting, rifle and pistol silhouette, bullseye disciplines, and even black powder muzzle-loading rifles.
