The Women’s Wilderness Escape at the NRA Whittington Center is a one-of-a-kind immersive experience designed exclusively for women ages 18 and older. This empowering event provides a supportive, safe environment where participants of all experience levels—whether complete beginners or experienced shooters—can grow their skills, confidence, and connection to the outdoors.

What to Expect:
Over the course of six days, participants receive expert instruction from NRA-certified instructors in firearm safety, handling, and marksmanship, with hands-on training in multiple shooting disciplines including rifle, pistol, shotgun, and archery. All firearms, ammunition, instruction, meals, and on-site lodging are included, making this a fully inclusive and accessible opportunity.

Community and Camaraderie:
This women-centric event fosters community and lifelong friendships as women from across the country come together to learn, share stories, and encourage one another. The event is limited in size to ensure personalized attention and quality instruction for each participant.

Set on the expansive 33,000-acre NRA Whittington Center property near Raton, New Mexico, participants enjoy striking natural landscapes and premier shooting facilities while building outdoor skills and confidence.
