The Rocky Mountain 3-Gun competition at the NRA Whittington Center is a premier, three-day practical shooting match set in the rugged natural terrain of Raton, New Mexico. Over the course of the event, competitors will engage in nine natural terrain stages that challenge speed, accuracy, and strategy using pistol, shotgun, and rifle platforms. Stages may require the use of one to all three guns, giving shooters the chance to test skills across varied courses and landscapes at distances exceeding 600 yards. Divisions include Open, Limited Scope, Limited Iron, He-Man Scope, and He-Man Iron, ensuring options for a broad range of shooting preferences and experience levels. The event attracts top competitive shooters from across the country and provides a fun yet physically demanding match for all participants

Come stay with us! The general public is welcome to stay at the Whittington Center. There is a broad range of housing to accommodate individuals, couples, and small to large groups.
Shooters can take part in competitive shooting, rifle and pistol silhouette, bullseye disciplines, and even black powder muzzle-loading rifles.
